AUDIUM Active Loudspeakers

AUDIUM continously evolves - and with the next step we even can fullfull 2 diametrically opposite approaches:

1. Fully Active Loudspeakers not requiring an additional amplifier.
   They can be connected directly to an Audio-Source (like a preamp or network streamer)
   So we can respond to the increasing requests concerning active speakers for Home-Installation with audio network streaming.
   
    
2. Semi Active Speakers supplying audiophile demands, like triode tube-amplifiers with very few output power.
   The integrated amplifier just drives the woofer of the speaker. The fullrange driver will be powered by the existing amplifier of the user.

For those two applications a comapct digital amplifier module has been developed.
It combines the advantages of high amplification power, high efficiency and compact dimensions. So it can be simply placed instead of the terminal of the loudspeaker.

So it is even possible to equip your existing passive AUDIUM speakers with this amplifier module!

The integrierted DSP performs the work of the classical crossover network. Further more it allows room-adaptation and accoustical adjustments according to your needs.
The bass-management increases the capabilities of the speaker towards even lower frequencies!
 

For the configuration the AiM - AUDIUM Interactive Manual has been developed. This software combines user-manual and configuration software in a single computer program.
So the adjustment becomes mere childs play!

Comp 5 Active: Simply connect the Comp 5 Active with a cinch-cable to your audio source. This could be a network streamer, a PC, or an iPod or Apple TV (just to name a few).
In the future, enhancements to the Comp 5 Active will include a digital input and a wireless version, both now being developed and will soon be available.

Comp 7 Drive: You use the Comp 7 Drive simply like any other loudspeaker. Your existing amplifier drives the full-range driver through a loudspeaker cable. The integrated passive crossover network protects it from the lowest frequencies.
Those are amplified by the integrated 130W digital amplifier. It takes the audio signal from the speaker terminals, processes it in a DSP and finally drives the 6x9" woofer.

The 150W Power Supplyl is a compact external box. It has been specially optimised for the use with the active Comps.

The separation of the power supply from the loudspeaker prevents interspersion and allows additional flexibility.

The auto-Standby circuit of the amplifier reduces the current consumption when you are not listening to music.
We also take care of the environment!

AiM - the AUDIUM interactive Manual is a software for your PC which combines user manual and configuration software in one application.

You will get to know everything important about your loudspeaker and further more you can also configure the amplifier. All without the need of extra cabling! Simply connect your PC with your audio-system, switch the speaker into the configuration mode, and there you go!
